VANTA is operated through a touchscreen system that allows users to select destinations, monitor live system data, and manage flight modes & controls. This is done through an adjustable centre screen UI for ease of access.
Systems can either be controlled using custom Zepheros designed joystick controls, or with the use of proprietary auto-pilot systems onboard designed for comfort, speed or efficiency.

Tablet-controlled flight interface
Every onboard component is monitored in real-time using embedded sensors. The system logs performance trends and flags mechanical or electrical irregularities before they lead to failure, minimizing downtime and simplifying maintenance.
AI and machine learning is used for onboard LLM assistant along for user interface and abnormalities in sensors, grounding users if system issues are detected
Redundant Avionics & Flight Controls
The aircraft is powered by multiple independent motor systems to maintain lift in the event of a failure. Critical subsystems are backed by failsafe logic and emergency recovery features, including automated landing protocols and a ballistic back parachute which deploys upon failure.
Additional failsafe avionics allow users to feel confident their system will function, with a comprehensive automatics safety check pre-fight.
VANTA additionally features an autonomous emergency landing system that activates optionally with 10 minutes of battery remaining and automatically with 5 minutes of battery remaining. Using onboard LiDAR, it scans for flat terrain 100 meters below with consistent elevation across a 20-meter radius, ensuring a safe and controlled touchdown even in unpredictable environments. This along with return to home functions ensure peace of mind while flying.

Designed for a smooth and comfortable ride
The aircraft structure is vibration-isolated and noise-reduced using material dampening and optimized rotor configuration to prevent rotor wash. Custom headsets are available for use while flying if loudness exceeds users comfort.
Combined with an enclosed cabin and stable hover control, the ride remains comparatively quiet, steady, and predictable in flight. VANTA includes an ergonomic seat and control system specifically designed for comfort enduring long trips without fatigue.
With a projected wind resistance of over 150 km/h, VANTA is built to withstand unexpected conditions, providing pilots with a comfortable safety margin.
Alongside other advanced safety features, SOS communication will be always online using the LLM onboard communicating to emergency response.
VANTA is designed to revolutionize personal eVTOL flight, along with regulations, with ease of controls. At Zepheros, we hope to one day require more basic certification required for flight, making flying more commonly accessible.
